Brexit start is scheduled for tomorrow
Tomorrow, March 29, the UK Prime Minister Theresa May will launch a procedure of the Brexit implementation, submitting an official application about Britain withdrawal from the EU. After that, two-year negotiations between the EU and UK about the future parties’ relationship will start. Finding an understanding in the key areas is beneficial for London and Brussels. The Mayor of London Sadiq Khan believes that the EU should not punish the United Kingdom, by imposing unfavorable for it Brexit terms, because it will harm not only the UK but also the EU. Earlier, Brussels has demanded from Britain 50 billion pounds as a payment of obligations to the European Union after its withdrawal from the alliance. London didn't agree with this claim, stating that it has no intention to pay an amount more than 2-3 billion pounds. This incident suggests that such differences in the negotiations course will be a lot in future. For April 29, 2017 a EU leaders summit, whose goal is the formation of the UK response to the request for withdrawal from the alliance, is scheduled. Experts believe that this event will have a significant impact on the euro and pound sterling.
