Bitcoin exchange rate has reached a historic high
On Friday the bitcoin exchange rate has reached a point of $1206,60, which is a historical maximum for the cryptocurrency. Before this maximum, the highest bitcoin exchange rate was recorded in November of 2013 and was $1165,89. Today, the digital currency fell to $1187,82 (0.33%), moved away from the session maximum, which was $1215,93.
A sharp rise in price of bitcoin occurred amid expectations of investors that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) intends to approve the launch of at least one bitcoin fund. This decision of the SEC will allow to legalize cryptocurrency, that will make it more attractive for investors and improve the stability of its exchange rate.
