Why MT4 shows the message “Trade is disabled” or “Market is closed”?

These messages can be seen if a user attempts to trade on weekends (Saturday, Sunday) or on the day of international celebration. In addition, there are possible restraints for trading according to the specifics of the trading sessions timetable for a particular financial instrument. You can see the trading hours for MT4 from the ForexGrand Company on the page «Total trading hours».

Another reason this message may appear is an attempt to execute the deal during the formation of the planned trade reports for a specific period. This procedure happens every day at 23:59:59 by Eastern European time (EET). It lasts for a few seconds, and trading is stopped during this time for saving the report.

The message «Trade is disabled» can also appear if a user tries to perform an operation on an inactive account. It happens if an account was not deposited with a minimum amount of money.

Termination of access to trading sessions is possible in case of critical situations described in the Forex Grand Governing documents.
